Quality Control

Land Solutions understands the importance of implementing quality control on every project. Although our company is young, Clint Hansen, PLS and Vincent Blommer offer 20 years of combined surveying experience. They understand that to maintain longevity in the land surveying business, the ability to adhere to project schedules and budgets is imperative. The following provides details of how Land Solutions will ensure that schedule and cost control is maintained on our projects.

Quality Control

Work products will be reviewed by an Idaho-licensed professional land surveyor for appropriateness and compared to the project requirements. Work will also be reviewed for workability, cost-effectiveness, accuracy, and compliance with the governing agency's standards.

Schedule and Cost Control

Upon Notice to Proceed, the project will be separated into tasks and a project schedule will be developed that satisfies the project requirements and time constraints. Scheduling will be done by calculating the amount of time the project requires to meet the scope of work and also the amount of time that is allowed for the project. The number of hours will be inserted into current project work to ensure that the work is performed as scheduled.

Change Control

During the course of a project, events can occur that were not foreseen while developing the scope of work-changes initiated by the client, a change in construction requirements, or other factors. When these changes take place, the PLS will meet with the client or prime contractor to discuss the actions needed to remedy the situation. After a solution is reached, revisions will be submitted as necessary to either the client or the prime contractor for approval. Land Solutions will coordinate with its surveyors to ensure that proper communication and knowledge of the revisions have been given and to maintain quality control. Revised plans will be given to the field crew and all changes will be reviewed for clarity and understanding.

Project Coordination

Land Solutions will maintain open communication with the client and prime contractors to accurately understand the requirements, information, procedures, costs, schedules, and other items related to the successful project completion.
